How It Works
At Codebeis, we’re committed to equipping Yeshiva day school students and faculty with the skills to build fully functioning web applications. Through a hands-on 12-week bootcamp, we combine technical expertise, Jewish values, and practical experience to create a unique learning journey.
The Journey to Becoming a Creator
1. Introductory Courses: Building Foundations
- Focus on HTML and CSS: Students start by mastering the core building blocks of the web—HTML and CSS.
- Jewish-Themed Projects: Each project incorporates Jewish values and themes, such as:
- Designing a website about upcoming holidays like Chanukah or Pesach.
- Creating a parsha highlights page.
- Building tools to track mitzvot or explain concepts in Gemara.
- Empowerment Through Creativity: By the end of this course, students will have a portfolio of engaging, responsive websites that reflect both their technical skills and their Torah learning.
2. Advanced Courses: Bringing Ideas to Life
- Incorporating JavaScript: Students will learn to add interactivity and functionality to their web projects, turning static websites into fully functioning web applications.
- Hosting on GitHub: Projects will be hosted on GitHub, allowing students to showcase their work to friends, family, and potential future collaborators.
- Real-World Applications: Advanced projects might include interactive calendars, Torah learning tools, or other apps that blend technology and Jewish education.
3. Product Management Track: Learning by Doing
- Team Collaboration: Students can enroll in the Product Management track to learn the critical skills of leading a tech project. They will work directly with students in the Web Development track to guide projects from concept to completion.
- Agile and UX Design: This track introduces concepts such as Agile methodologies, prototyping, and user experience (UX) design.
- Build and Lead: Product Managers and Developers will collaborate to create innovative products that solve real-world problems, with the freedom to choose projects that excite them.
A Seamless Integration of Torah and Tech
Codebeis is more than a coding bootcamp—it’s a platform where Jewish education meets cutting-edge technology. Whether students dream of becoming developers, designers, or leaders in tech, they will leave Codebeis with the tools, confidence, and inspiration to bring their ideas to life.
